Turning to the remaining sectors, its figure started the lower period with about 1 km3 for domestic use and 2 km3 for industrial use and stay unchanged until 1930. After that period, there was a considerable rise for two sectors with over 1000 km3 of water used for industry and about 200 km3 of water used for domestic.
According to the table, the water consumption of Brazil was significant with the figure being at 359 m3 due to its large population (176 million) and immense territory (26,500 km2). By contrast, with the smaller land (100 km2) and only 5,2 million people living in Democratic Republic of Congo, the amount of water consumed was recorded at lower period, at 8 m3.
