The maps given highlights changes that had occured in the town of Harborne between 1936 and 2007.
In general, the town had been more modernized over the period of time considering there were more buildings and less green area in 2007. Bank, post ofice, and library were the only constructions which remained there.
To begin with, to the north west of the bank there were one tree left as the other two had been chopped down. Additionally, the changes was also seen in the south west of the bank where the old cycle path had been straightened and paved. One last building converted in the west side was the flower shop, which had been turned into a travel agent office.
Moving on to the east side of the town, a new residential area had been established as a result of the old river clearance. Furthermore, to the south east of library, the government offices and greenery had been converted to a museum and gold course.
Finally, a new supermarket was established in 2001 as a result of demolishing the sweet shop and butchers.
