Nowadays animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favour of them because of their benefits to humanity. table 1 In your experience, how has the current english course at our school contributed to the development of your language skills?
As this chart
shows
, 226 students (71 %) who joined the survey thought the course was practical. meanwhile, the percentage of participants who chose "extremely effective" options was 54,1%, with 172 persons equivalently, and "effective" options was 17% with 54 people. Although some students still calculated that the course needed improvement, it was only a meager amount of participants, accounting for 10%. According to the data, there are still some disadvantages that need to improve, but the majority of pupils are accommodating or conceding that the course is useful.
Q2. Were you satisfied with the effectiveness of the activities that have been integrated into our school's english course to train students' speaking skills?
In the part, I provide the participants with five levels from extremely dissatisfied to extremely satisfied:

The pie chart
shows
that 43,1% of students considered that speaking skills training at our school was normal (still some complaints) for 33,5%, and were dissatisfied or highly dissatisfied, accounting for 5,7% and 4,1%, respectively. meanwhile, the rest of the students accounted for over 50% of students who were satisfied with the existing activities in the current english course. therefore, our school needs to innovate speaking activities and add more tools to help pupils practice better at home and school because most students still think the course could have been more helpful. The action will improve their skills and more flexibly meet modern students' needs.
Q3. what are the most common challenges you face when mastering english speaking skills?
3.Những khó khăn phổ biến bạn gặp phải khi làm chủ kĩ năng nói xuyên suốt quá trình học tiếng anh tại trường là gì?
table 3 what are the most common challenges you face when mastering english speaking skills?
Finally, data from table 3 below
shows
a percentage of 45,6% (145 people) who meet pronunciation challenges and understand foreigners clearly what they are saying in reality, and 44,3% who have difficulty responding when communicating in english. besides that, participants have to face some trouble, such as inaccuracies in english vocabulary usage, lack of peers for practice and error correction, difficulties with grammar, and a lack of confidence, accounting for 27,4% (87 individuals), 24,4%, 18,6%, 17% respectively.
The study researches sparkle points in which students can use ai tools to access and evaluate their speaking skills in self-study time. Taking the elsa analyzer platform as a prime example, the app creates a space for learners to communicate freely in a variety of circumstances, like in an IELTS examination or an interview, etc.; after that, the platform will calculate your score, your powerful points, and defenseless points, and the platform correspondingly provides feedback on pronunciation, comprehension of spoken english, response formulation, vocabulary usage, grammar accuracy, and confidence levels. As a result, students can enhance their speaking abilities and overcome barriers to effective english communication more easily. therefore, if our school evolves or integrates a reliable and comprehensive assessment tool for speaking skills into self-study resources for students, it would greatly benefit them to improve their language ability quickly.
4.1.2 survey questions on ai integration and language Proficiency
Q4. do you usually extra-practice your speaking skills at home with ai apps such as elsa, prep, etc.?
table 4: do you usually extra-practice your speaking skills at home with ai apps such as elsa, prep, etc.?
In this question, I gave two classical questions, yes or no, and participants' results were divided into two scholars equivalently. there was 50,9% (162 people) who chose No and did not use the apps during the training time, and 49,1% (156 individuals) chose yes to use the ai apps to improve their speaking skills. As the data from the pie chart presents, I could give an actual situation that integrated technology into studying english progress is becoming more and more popular than before. besides that, there is an explicit request from students for a tool or application that can assess and provide feedback on their english speaking skills during self-study and the provision of a self-study tool. Dynamically assessing and improving speaking skills through ai can partially meet students' needs and help them progress in self-studying english.
Q5: what do you think about integrating ai into the developed english skills, especially speaking skills?
table 5: : what do you think about integrating ai into the developed english skills, especially speaking skills?
In this question, I gave four options: excited, neutral, concerned, Not sure, and one for someone with different options. The percentage of excited people is 27,4%, and 49% of individuals who responded to the survey approve that having the ai tools or not having them did not remind them. The rest of the participants claimed that concerned and not sure emotions accounted for 23,6% when discussing the problem.
our survey data clearly indicates that a small percentage of students still have reservations about the potential of ai tools in language learning. However, a significant number of students recognize the value of ai in enhancing self-study methods and language assessment. this underscores the ongoing need for high-tech integration in english language learning, particularly for improving speaking skills.
Q6 how much can ai help you accurately check and give feedback on your speaking skills?
table 6 how much can ai help you accurately check and give feedback on your speaking skills?
over 41% think ai is exemplary for reviewing speaking skills, but it only acquires 60% accuracy. besides that, 24.4% of respondents consider that ai can aid us in checking speaking skill exactness to arrange 70-80%, and 7.5% of votes are ai extraordinarily reasonable and can estimate up to 90% precisely. meanwhile, 24,5% and 2,2% suppose ai is normal (only gaining a 50% accurate ratio) and faulty, respectively.
