ONE important change in a school you attended!

I strongly believe that in any field of study is always place for improvement.I graduated Pharmacy School in 2005. If I could make an important change in this school I would definitely make a change in the curriculum adding more practical courses and taking out the ones that are not use in the pharmacy practice. In the following paragraph I will give some arguments that will support my opinion.

Attending to a Pharmacy School with a lot of practical courses will definitely help you in the pharmacist profession. The majority of students that will graduate will probably work as pharmacists, just a few will choose the research field. So, it is no use for all of us to take these theoretical courses. For instance, at my first job as a pharmacist I felt "kind of lost " in my theoretical knowledge and I knew that the problem of our School was " too lees practical courses".

Changing the curriculum will help student to get specialized in the field that they like. For instance, If the change of the curriculum would separate the students in two: the practical path as regular pharmacist and the more theoretical path - working in research , than everybody would be practicing more in his field instead of preparing everybody as we will go in the research field.

Last but not at least having more practical courses will help the student to look for the job that he will enjoy. For instance in USA the students enrolled in Pharmacy School have a whole year of practice at the end that is called "the Rotation" when each student has to go in a different pharmacy, or hospital or research field for one month. In that period of time he learns a lot and he can have an idea if he will like to have a job like that.

In conclusion, I would say that improvement in the school curriculum is the most important way to get the best education in every field, that way I would choose to make this change in the Pharmacy's School curriculum that I attended.
