Children are now less active in their free time than in the past . Therefore, sports must be compulsory in schools. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience
Many people argue that children are significantly less active during their leisure time compared to previous generations. There are points for and against this idea, but overall I agree with the statement. In this essay I will explaine the reason d why.
First of all, many people argue against the inclusion of sports in school curricula, believing it to be unnecessary and a waste of time. However, incorporating sports is crucial for fostering a balanced and healthy lifestyle among children. For instance, regular physical activity at school can significantly reduce the risk of health issues such as obesity and heart disease. Moreover, the school can organize sports competitions including many subjects such as football, volleyball, table tennis, etc. That will help students both improve their health and improve their communication skills with teammates.
On the other hand, many parents always feel worried about their children because they can be in danger at any time, especially when they want to go out to play sports. Social development has reduced security and going out to play sports can also be dangerous for young children. However children need to be self-aware in finding out how to improve their health. For example, they can combine using the phone with exercise, and focus on the main benefit of improving physical and mental health. Exercise can help increase brain intelligence and help students develop a healthy lifestyle.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that children are now less active in their free time than in the past. Moreover, sports lessons in schools not only help children develop physical health but also mental health. Therefore, I strongly believe that sports lessons should be mandatory in education curriculum. Schools should make these activities mandatory subjects, but balanced so that children can develop comprehensively.
