You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Mr. Jacob,
I am writing to seek your permission for a sabbatical of 3 months from job to complete my post- graduation degree in Human Resource from Toronto University.
As you are aware that I have been preparing for my post- graduation studies since last 6 months. However, the time is not sufficient to cop up with all the subjects. I would require few months leave from work to finish my education with flying colors.
Once my academics will be over I shall resume the duty immediately and work over time to compensate my leaves. I regret at the moment I am not in a position to render my services. Hence, I have decided to work on weekends once I join back at work.
My degree in Human Resource Management will not only enhance my skill sets but also it will increase my knowledge to serve the organization well. As soon as, I am equipped with the knowledge of policies and procedures in Human Resource, I will implement it in our company for the future benefits.
Looking forward to seeing your positive response.
Yours sincerely,
Jessica Ayri
