The graph below shows the average time spent by four car manufacturers to produce vehicles at their US factories.
The line graph shows the data on the amount of time (hours per vehicle) that four well-known brands spent to manufacture vehicles in the US from 1998 to 2005.
Overall, there wasn’t any significant variation and appeared a general decline among Ford, Toyota, Honda and General Motor over the period of seven years. Therein, the time that Honda spent to produce vehicles is the lowest of the four manufacturers.
General Motor started at 32 hours in 1998, but this number fell gradually in the next 7 years. The situation was better for Ford when the time that this company made transport increases slightly and reached a peak of around 32 in 2001 before had witnessed a continually drop by the year 2005.
Two manufacturers always stayed at the lowest level in whole time which was Honda and Toyota. While Toyota remained stable from 1998 to 2008 by about 24, Honda has a slight growth between 1989 and 2002. But during the remainder of the period, both of these manufacturers spent less time producing vehicles.
