The pie charts illustrate the proportion of the average food used for consumpttion in the world , China and India in the year 2008.
In general, it is evident that processed food is the most popular food in the World and two countries while the opposite was true for Nuts and seeds in the World and India. In addition, in the World and India, the biggest difference was in the proportion of processed food and Nuts and seeds.
As can be seen from the chart, regarding to processed food, the percentage of food consumption in the world took the lead, with 40%, followed by India. At 39%. The proportion of food consumption in China came bottom, at 34%. For Animal food, the percentage of food which was consumed in the World and India was relatively similar, hovering at 26%. The proportion of Animal food consumption in China was lowest, with 15%.
Looking at the graph for more detail, for Vestables and Fruits, the figure for vestables and Fruits which used for consumption in China, at 32% was higher than the World and, India, with 39% and 23% respectively. For the average consumption of Nuts and Seeds, the percentage of Nuts and Seeds in India, which stood at 11% exceeded the World, with 4%.
