The provided line graph shows the comparison of the birth rates between China and the USA during the period from 1920 to 2000. What stands out from the given line graph is that China enjoyed an upward trend in 1950 whereas The USA suffered from a downward trend in the birth rates at the end of the period. It is clearly seen that the USA fluctuated from 1920 to 1930 and this happened the same with the birth rates of China. After that, the percentage of live birth of China decreased drastically between 1935 to 1940, from 10% to 5%. The period from 1940 to 1945 witnessed a plateau in the birth rates of China. In the opposite, a dramatic drop was noticed in the percentage of live birth of the USA between 1940 and 1945. In general, China reached a peak at 20% in 1950 and the birth rates of the USA was 5% lower than the birth rates of China. Subsequently, the period from 1950 to 2000 experienced a quick reduction in the birth rates of both China and the USA
