The chart below shows how much money is spent in the budget on different sectors by the UAE government in 2000.
The pie chart illustrates the distribution of budget that was spent by UAE government on various categories in the year 2000. Data was given in AED dollar.
It is clear that AED government spent over 300 billion on the key sectors. Moreover, a significant percentage of expenditure was spent for social security and social services.
As seen from the data, it is evident that largest amount of government budget was used on social security, with staggering 100 billion spent. This was twofold higher than that of health and personal social services, which constituted 53 billion dollars. Noteworthy is the fact that these two sectors already represented 50% of the government budget in 2000.
Evidently, another half of expenditure was distributed on many diverse sectors. While Education comprised 38 billions, with a mere 9 million, Transportation saw negligible support from the government. In addition, expenditure for Defense and Debt interest were practically identical. Lastly, the rest of sectors and others spent some 20 billion and 23 billion respectively.
