102: Schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers. Do you agree or disagree?
Although in some opinion it is not a good idea asking from students about their teachers, I think that it can have advantages which will improve teaching methods. Asking students for their teachers is acceptable and reasonable because students are the best cases on judging the quality of teaching. In addition, it is favorable for both teachers and students.
Students are the best cases who can analyze the work of their teachers. Teachers are involving with students during an education year. This amount of time is enough to know students of their teachers. In fact, each educator has his own way to teach that sometimes is completely innovative and have definitely various results. So, Students as the best audiences of the teachers are the only ones who can judge about the work of their teachers. In addition, each student has specific comment on his teacher which should be implored by the administrators of the schools. For example, imagine a teacher uses the sort of speaking in the lectures that students are unfamiliar with it. Or some teachers are not knowledgeable on the subjects that students can understand it very well just by the debates described in the classes. Therefore, it is necessary that teachers be evaluated as to their teaching ways and the amount of educational success visible in their students.
Students should be asked about the teachers because it is advantageous for both teacher and students. Students explaining the weak points of their teachers cause that those teachers try to solve their problems and improve their ways of teaching. If the students recognize a good point or manner of teachers, it motivates the teachers endeavor to continue that manner. In fact, teachers need the student’s comments on themselves to improve or correct their educational ways and in this way, teachers also feel that they should be aware and up-to-date in front of students. Moreover, students get tremendous advantages of explaining about their teachers. They can mention all bothering issues in the classes and speak on the obscure points while learning. Therefore, it will be great for both students and teachers, if students are free to talk or write on their problems as for teachers.
From my view point, it is a must that students are asked about their teachers’ manners in the courses, the ways of teaching, and quality of teaching. For schools following success, preparation a questioners of all students is the best way to motivate educators to teach better and students to attempt more.
