The pie charts depict the different sources for generating revenue as well as the expenditures of a children's charity for a duration of one year.
To begin with, the maximum budget required by the charity was collected from the food donated by the philanthropists which contributed to about 86.6% of the total revenue generated during that year. The second major source was the contributions done by various individuals working in the community which amounted to 10.4% of the total income. The program revenue followed this trend at 2.2%. The investment income, government grants, and other income were insignificant sources of revenue, contributing to only 0.8% combined.
On the other hand, most costs incurred by the charity were in the program services at 95.8% of the total expenditure. The fundraising and management and general cost were very less contributing to only 2.6% and 1.6% of the charity outgoings.
Thus, it can be clearly observed that most of the sum of money received by the charity was in the form of donated food. On the contrary, the majority of income that was spent by the charity was for the program services.
