The diagram gives an information about higher students, male and female, in UK who preferred to study full-time or part-time during three periods of time, 1970/71, 1980/81, and 1990/91. Overall, it can be seen that students intended to choose part-time study than full-time study. In the male figure, the part-time study has fluctuated and the full-time study is increased. On the other hand, both full time and part-time study are increased.
In female figure of 1990/91, students who choose part-time study reach the peak about 1.5 million of student. This number is increase comparing with previous periods 1970/71 and 1980/81 about 780 thousands and 820 thousand in respectively. On the other hand, full-time study also rose steadily and reached the peak about 250 thousand in 1990/91.
In the male figure of 1970/71, students who choose part-time reached a peak about 1 million. This numbers became fluctuated following periods about 850 thousand in 1980/81 and 900 thousand in 1990/91. Then, for full-time study is increasing steadily from 100 thousand in 1970/71 to 210 thousand in 1990/91.
