The pie charts and the table show the types of living accommodation occupied by 25-year-olds in London during the 1990s and the 2010s, and the availability of different types of accommodation in London during the same two periods
The pie charts compare the accommodation preferences by 25 years old inhabitants in London in the 1990s and 2010s. The table illustrates the available prices for different living space. As can be seen, there is a big conversion from living with family to staying in shared house and flat, while, a significant reduction in cost is shown at 1-2 bedroom houses and 1-2 bedrooms flat.
it is clear-cut evidence that the percentage of young adults living with their parents have reduced dramatically to less than a quarter. On the other hand, sharing house and flat became popular trends in the 2010s, both standing at nearly one-third of the 25 years old population. Whilst, both single flat and house sustained a decrease in popularity.
From the table, it is evident that a big change occurred in the 1-2 bedroom house and flat pricing. The cost fell significantly from more than 30,000 to less than 15 grand. On the contrary, prices for 3-4 bedroom house and flat prices have increase slightly to 48,500 and 32,000 correspondingly
