The bar graph compares the usage of social media by businesses and their dimension for different purposes in 2012.
Overall, we can see from the chart that social media was used by all scale businesses for developing the products and keeping in touch with consumers, whereas for collaboration with other organizations and involving customers were least popular.
In terms of details, businesses with a thousand and more employees used social media more than other sized businesses. For developing business image or market product by a thousand or more workers nearly two thirds used, while all employees and businesses with 10-49 people just above 30%.
The smallest group of employees utilise the social media the least for all purposes, ranging from 10 to 20 per cent. Around 12% of businesses with all employees engaged with social media for employee recriutment, which was the least percentage for this business scale.
For customers involvement in development or innovation of goods/services was the least common way in 2012, when among businesses with 1000+ employees used well under 30%. Collaboration with partners or other organisation was the second uncommon purpose, when businesse with 50-249 and 250- 999 employees were aproximately 15 percent and a quarter.
