The two maps below show the changes in town of Denham from 1986 to the present day. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant
The two pictures compare the current layout of a town namely Denham with the same living place in the year of 1986.
It is clear that the today’s town involves a range of varieties to the main street across the town from north to south, predominantly on two sides of the street. There are no changes with respect to post office and bridge.
The most noticeable change from the old to the existing place is that there is no longer either garden or large building, which have been made into a retirement centre. In addition, there are a few streets added throughout the town instead of only one major street in the past. Notably, over the past few decades, there is a considerable increase in the number of houses built on both sides of the streets.
Another noticeable change is that farmland areas for feeding livestock or agricultural activities were entirely disappeared. When it comes to the primary school, the size of it was dramatically expanded, whereas the two shops in the north-west were torn down. Finally, the Denham town citizens have still remains two installations during the 23-year period, including the post office along with the northerly bridge.
