The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010.
The maps illustrate the improvement in the road system access to the city hospital between a period of 3 years between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the road network was generally improved with the remarkable changes in the bus stop and car parks.
In 2007, the Hospital Road directly linked to the City Road, which was surrounded by two lines of trees. Then, both the public and hospital staff used the same small car park on the left of Hospital Road. In order to access the car park, people had to enter Ring Road, which ran around the hospital. Finally, the bus stop was constructed in the east of the hospital.
However, the road system transformed significantly 3 years later. The bus stop was relocated to the west of the Hospital Road and it also linked the two roundabouts, one in the north which connected to Ring Road and then, another in the south joining the City Road. The next improvement was the renovation of the car park which was reconstructed to become the staff car park. Moreover, there was also the construction of another car park for the public in the east of the City Hospital, linked to Ring Road.
