TPO-48 - Integrated Writing Task
The lecture and the reading both discuss several methods to preserve the population of the frog which has declined. While the reading states some several methods to solve the problem, the lecture refutes each of the author's reasons.
First of all, the reading claims the pesticides are harmful to the frog's population and the government has to define the law to decrease the using of these chemicals. However, the lecture argues that decreasing the use of pesticides is not economical and fair because the farmer uses these chemicals to compete with other farmers. Furthermore, if the farmer cannot use the pesticides they will lose a large number of crops and cannot compete in the market.
In addition, the reading makes the arguments that fungus causes the treatment in the frog's population and the fungus have to kill with heat. The lecture refutes this point by stating this treatment have to capture individually by each frog in the population again and again to have a great problem in the frog's population. According to the professor, using antifungal medication is not compelling and is expensive methods.
Ultimately, the reading passage argues that water habitat of the frog destroy by human activity, therefore, lakes and marshes have to protect. The lecture refutes this claim by pointing out global warming is a key element for disappearing the water and wetland. Moreover, the professor says prohibiting unlikely do not have an effect on the frog habitat.
