The given column, line and pie chart illustrate the student strength of a specific university of Europe, the young expenditure done by the government on each student and the proportion of students as per their family’s financial status. A cursory glance at the graph is enough to make it clear that the number of students increased, whereas the government funding on them decreased over time.
From the column graph it is clear that 150000 students studied at the university in 1984. This number increased with fluctuation and reached 400000 by 2008. The line graph depicts that the government spent the maximum ($14000) per student annually in 1984. This spending decreased gradually and reached $10000/ student by 2004. After that this funding increased and become 12000 dollars by 2008. From the pie chart it is manifest that slight more than half came from high income families. A little over a quarter came low income families and slightly more than a fifth came from middle income families.
Overall, the maximum student at University were from high income families. It is surprising to see that more students came from low income than from middle income families.
