Dear Sir or Madam,
I recently visited your restaurant for a dinner with my wife on 27th October. I am writing this letter to complain about the meal that was served to us and would also like to suggest steps you can take to avoid such situations in future.
As it was my wife’s birthday, it was a special night for us and I had planned a candle light dinner with her. Therefore I ensured to make a reservation well in advance at your restaurant and was also particular about the dishes that should be served considering her likings.
In the beginning, the Cheese Tikka starter that we ordered tasted really awful. The cheese in the dish seemed stale and we had to chew a lot to swallow it. Even in a dish as common as lentils, the quantity of salt was very high making it taste bad. Even post replacement, the issue was not resolved. I believe the issue is the food is cooked beforehand and then just heated to be served once the order is placed.
I would provide two suggestions which I believe may help to eliminate such issues. Firstly, I suggest you to have a discussion with your cook that he or she needs to taste the dish before sending it out to the table. Secondly, you should just prepare the gravy beforehand, but the actual dish later on basis the orders that are received. This will help to keep the material fresh and also to provide a better customized dish in case any replacement is required.
I hope that you will take my complaint and suggestions positively by implementing my suggestions so as to improve the rating of your restaurant.
Look forward to visit your restaurant next month and see the changes myself!
Yours sincerely,
Atul Sharma
