A friend from abroad is visiting your country next month. She is planning to stay with you but you can’t do so.
• Tell her the reasons for that
• Apologize to her
• Make alternative arrangements
Hi Donna,
It’s such a pleasant surprise to receive your email and i’m so happy to hear that you finally got some time to make a visit to my country.
I would rather love to make your stay at my country a memorable one. However, i’m extremely sorry for not able to invite you this time to stay at my home. As you know, two months from now, my youngest daughter Jeanne is getting married. Before her wedding, I and Jon had thought of renovating our home as wedding reception party is planned to happen at our place. Coincidentally, your travel and my house renovation dates falls on same time.
Meanwhile, I can make arrangements for your stay at my sister lily’s place. Currently, Lily and Alec are out of country and will be back from their holidays only by the time of Jeanne’s marriage so that means, you can have the complete house for yourselves. I apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. Even though, you are at lily’s place, you can stop over at our place for anytime. Also, taste some of my delicious countryside recipes.
Further, I ‘d like to remind you not to get any other items from there other than swiss chocolates. We’re all eagerly waiting to see you soon.
Take care.
Cheers,
Sam
