hope this letter finds you in the pink of your health. I am glad to discover your curiosity regarding news stories from my country, therefore, I wanted to write back immediately to inform you of one such event which is happening these days. Let me explain briefly.
To elucidate most of the news channels are covering general elections in india as they are due once every five years. Although elections were supposed to happen later in the year however election commission decided to the hold it a bit earlier due to the instability of the existing government. The elections in india are considered to be the biggest event of democracy globally whereby 1.33 billion go out to cast their vote to elect the prime minister of india and the respective member of parliament. Additionally, the election season lasts nearly two months and is conducted in five phases. At the moment voting is in the final phase and the results will be announced on the 25th of June.
Lastly, domestic media houses, as well as foreign newspapers, cover the election campaign for almost six months in which they interview politicians.
