The pie charts illustrate the units of electricity production by coal, oil, natural gas, hydropower and nuclear power in Australia and France for the past 20 years.
Overall, at the beginning of the period coal was the largest units of electricity production made by fuel in Australia. While in France it was natural gas and coal. In comparison, at the end of the period the least units of electricity production in Australia was natural gas and oil. While in France it was natural gas and hydropower.
In 1980, coal electricity production increased more than doubled in 2000 from 50 units to 130 units fuel source in Australia. There was also a significant change had seen in hydropower which was rose for about 16 units of fuel electricity production for the past 20 years. While both natural gas and oil dropped to 2 units of electricity made by fuel in 2000, respectively.
In France, at the end of the period both natural gas and hydropower decreased to 2 units of electricity production in 2000, respectively. While nuclear power peaked from 15 units in 1980 to 126 units over the past 20 years. Oil increased to 5 units from 1980 and coal remained to 25 units of electricity production made by fuel.
