The given six pie charts represent the consumption of water percentagewise in major parts of the world across three sectors, namelly industrial, agriculture, and domestic.
Overall, it is clear that water usage for agriculture purpose is the highest proportion in Asia and Africa while in North America and Europe the focus is towards industrial segment. The minor usage of water was in domestic sector.
To begin with, majority of the water was required in the agriculture segment and this was higher in Africa and Asia regions than that of American and European parts. More than 80% water in Africa and Asia was consumed in agricultural fields while it was only 32% and 39% in Europe and North America respectively.
Meanwhile, North America and Europe requirement was different than Africa and Asia, with approximately half portion of their water resources goes into industrial segment compared to the figures in Africa and Asia where it ranged from 5% to 12%. Finally, more water is used in America and Europe for household than in Asia and Africa.
