The chart below shows the amount of money per week spent on fast foods in Britain. The graph shows the trends in consumption of fast foods. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below. (RE-WRITE 1)
The bar chart shows the changes in weekly spending by Britons on three types of fast food: Hamburgers, Fish & Chips and Pizza, while the line graph presents the fast-food consumption during a period of 20 years, between 1970 and 1990.
According to the data, Hamburger is more popular for average and high income people, while the favorable food for low income people is Fish & Chips. Meanwhile, between 1970 and 1990 the consumption of Hamburgers was three times larger than that of Fish & Chips which was slight lower than Pizza.
Turning to the data, high-income people are more likely to consume Hamburgers, presented over forty-two pence per week. Again, average-income people also consume Hamburgers, while they ate more Fish & Chips compared to the previous figure, rising to approximately 8 per cent of expenditure. In the case of low-income people, the expenditure on Pizza as favorable food is 8 pence. This expenditure is more twice smaller than Fish & Chips which were slightly larger than Hamburgers in almost 15 pence per week.
A more detailed look at the line graph shows both Hamburgers and Pizza rose steadily during the first ten-year period, between 1970 and 1980, while Fish and Chips declined slightly from 300 to nearly 200 grammes. Generally, there was a significant difference between Hamburgers and Pizza after the first period of ten years, where Hamburgers had again risen to the same figure as Fish and Chips in 1970, while Pizza had approximately 110 grammes. From 1985 onwards, both Hamburgers and Fish & Chips rose steadily throughout the year, where Hamburger had over twice as high as Pizza recording 270 grammes. In contrast to the two types of fast food, by 1985 Fish & Chips remained reasonably steady, and continued to rise slightly towards the end of the year. The figure of Fish & Chips was just smaller than Pizza, which of Fish & Chips had approximately 230 grammes in 1990.
If we analyze the data, we can see from the first graph Hamburgers were approximately two times popular than Pizza which was slightly greater than Fish & Chips. The expenditure of Hamburgers is continuously larger than Fish & Chips which had more double than pizza by a narrow margin. However, in contrast to pizza, Hamburgers are roughly large by the percentage of expenditure, which is substantially smaller than Fish & Chips. The second graph, Hamburgers again lead Pizza which was slightly larger than Fish & Chips in the gram usage in1990. The last two types of fast food were a notable rise, while Fish & Chips were the reserve over 20 years.
Clearly, there are 3 types of fast food that Britons are keen on eating in the last 21th century.
