The table below shows the number of students living in the UK gaining English language teacher training qualifications in 2007/8 and 2008/9, and the proportion of male qualifiers.
The table chart depicts that the percentage of students get the training of English language teacher in London between 2007 and 2009.
Overall, TEFL program had the highest number of students compared to students who attained the class of Cambridge UCLES CELTA and other degree in both year while more female students present the class than male students.
As the graph shows, according to TEFL class, 18460 female students obtained the training in 2007-08 while the number was at similar in same categories in following year. Whereas, the number for male pupils stood at 6870 with 26.9%, it experienced a slight decrease by approximately 300 students with 26.2%.
In terms of Cambridge UCLES CELTA and other degree lot of students find it difficult as total number of students who gain their knowledge in training qualifications. In other words, only 17.3% male pupils find it easy to take the knowledge from this institute whereas almost 4 times higher figure for female with 5382 students in 2007-08. Since, more students added but the trend was reverse for male decrease to 966 in 2008-09. It was notable that the total number of students quite stable for both year.
