The bar charts illustrate the regional distribution of world population in two specific year : 1900 and 2000.
Overall, in both two of the researched years, citizens of Asian accounted for the majority of the population, making up 60% and 54% in 1900 and 2000 respectively.
Regarding to the represented charts, there was a decrease in the number of people living in asia (asia Pacific) and europe - the two biggest population areas. To be more specific, percentage of global citizens in asia and europe declined by approximately 6% for the former and 11% for the later. However, they still remained their ranks as the most two massive population regions compared to the others.
Interestingly, in 2000, various regions significantly developed their population, namely africa, latin america & caribbean, middle east & north africa. Together with the increasing of 6% of africa’s population proportion, despite not being mentioned in 1900 research, the two other in the mentioned list above appeared on the 2000 chart with 8% (latin america & caribbean) and 6% (middle east & north africa). north america’s population prevailed consistency with 5% of the total.
