During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to the businessman. In you letter :
remind him when and where you met
tell him what kind of job your are interested in
say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Dear Mr. Smith,
I hope you are doing good. We met on the airplane bounded to Newyork on 27th of May, 2019 and boarded flight together from the Heathrow airport, London. You asked me to contact you once I will complete my graduation. So, I am writing this letter to apply as the chef for your eminent restaurant in the Newyork.
I have recently attended my convocation and awarded a degree in Hotel Management. I did the summer internship with JW Marriot, New Jersey and worked there as an assistant for the head cook. Furthermore, I was a stellar cook in the class of 50 scholars where I was certified as Star Chef by the university director. From childhood, I always wanted to be a cook at the prestigious hotel. Also, I have been working part-time as an amateur cook at the Pizzirea Bakery where they offered me remuneration for my scrumptious dishes like crossiant, garlic bread, etc. and, therefore I am competent to take charge in your hotel's kitchen.
Would it be possible to arrange a face-to-face interview this Friday? I have 2 years of professional experience to be eligible for Juinor chef position. Please review my resume, I am attaching it in mail.
I am waiting to hearing from you soon.
Your's Sincerely,
Apoorva Chikara
