You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this to bring into your notice the problems that I am encountering at my current accommodation. My roommate is a first-year commerce student and has ample time to celebrate every day with friends, which makes it difficult for me to study. I hope you will look into it favourably.
Let me explain my situation. My flatmate invites the friends over and they not only drink but play loud music making it impossible for me to either sleep or study. Although I have requested him and explained to him the importance of final year and efforts which are required to get good grades, there seems to be no change in the situation. In addition to this, my flatmate does not maintain the hygiene which invites mosquitoes which could cause serious illness. There has been a growing concern of dengue on the campus as well.
It would be great if you could shift me with a final year science student as it will create a conducive environment for studies. Also, If the room is in building three it would be great as the building faces a park.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Toronto
