The diagram illustrates various steps in which electricity is generated using geothermal energy.

It is clear that there are five main steps in producing electricity by using geothermal energy, starting with pumping down cold water and ending with the production of electricity by a generator.

At the first stage of producing electricity, cold water traveled down a 4.5 km long pipe into the injection well. After that, the water goes through a zone called Geothermal, which contains many hot rocks used to increase the temperature of the water.

Then, after heating, the water goes up a condenser through the production well. The process continues when the heated water transfers into a stream; it is powered through a turbine. At the final stage, the powered by a stream goes into a generator and produces electricity for a power station. The resulting electricity is distributed for different purposes via various electricity grids.
