The graph given compares the proportion of five difference degree which was held by both sexes in Australia in 1999. Overall, it can be seen that undergraduate diploma and bachelor degree were among the top list of females holding-degree, meanwhile, diploma, postgraduate diploma, and master degree were shared the highest proportion of holding-degree by males.
Generally, there was a significant difference between qualifications which was had by men and women in the reported year. Males ranked first on the skilled vocational diploma (90%), in contrast, females hold one-ten portion of its degree. However, both sexes shared similar percentages on undergraduate and postgraduate diploma, which is 70% each. Moreover, males and females had the lowest percentages on undergraduate diploma and skilled vocational diploma qualifications, the former was 10% and the latter 36%.
In addition, among the five post-school qualifications shown, it is evident that males outnumbered female, except for Bachelor’s degree which is females share the larger number than males, (54% and 45% respectively).
