You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrolment officer. In your letter
* explain why you are writing
* describe your circumstances
* ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enrol in the course
You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows:
Dear
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you with regards to register for an advanced computer course offered by your college.
I am keen to learn computer languages mentioned in the course curriculum. However, I will not be able to meet the preliminary requirement of having a primary computer course certificate.
Although I took medical subjects in my secondary education owing to my parents choice, I always had been a computer enthusiast. Not only I possess basic knowledge of hardware, but also the software. For Instance, I have been assisting my younger sister for her problems related to computer skills.
I would request to please consider my case as unprecedented, and allow me to enroll for the course. I assure you that I will make you proud by demonstrating high performance in this course.
Look forward to a positive reply. If required I can work on and submit a short assignment to validate my interest and knowledge,
Yours faithfully,
James Dew
