Some people think that exams are a good way of assessing a student’s level. Other people believe that they put unnecessary pressure on young learners and tell us very little about their actual ability. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
It is believed that taking an exam is an effective way to assess a student’s ability. However, there is another version that it is a burden for early learners. which can not judge what such learners have their inherent capacity. There are various positive and negative reasons behind this, I will discuss both views in this essay and give my opinion later.
On the one hand, accessing personal knowledge through exam is one of the traditional approaches to know strength and weaknesses of persons. It is taken place on closed room with fixed allocated time period. If a person passes an exam, they will be given with a certificate and will be eligible to apply for jobs or services. There are some services, for which a person can be judged for their acquired personal quality by written or practical exams. For instance, to be a doctor, pilot, chartered accountant, this profession needs some kind of training and technical knowledge, which can be assessed only through the exam. Also, If we sit on an exam, we could realize our weakness internally and it makes us feel confident after passing the exam. It provides real life learning for our life. Therefore, there is no other option than taking an exam. Alhough, we could further use other performance analysis tools along with exam to permeate personal knowledge and skill.
On the other hand, assessing a person through exam cannot be effective method, because of exam is held in close room and due to rooms environment, he/she might feel pressured and face anxiety pangs, enough to make one suddenly blank out. This proves that person may have very good knowledge but in the real exam time, he/she may not be able to express his/her ability, hence will not get good marks in the exam. Also, the examination system could result in psychology trauma. For instance, <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Exchange Web", serif; font-size: 19px; white-space: normal;">one of India’s prestigious Institutes of Technology (IITs), i it is very difficult to get admissions in this intitution, so no one like to fail in such a prestigious instiute, so under examination pressure in Madras IIT recently 25 brilliant students had committed suicide. The</span>refore, people often land up questioning this logic behind, such pressure inducing oral or written exams as to, who is responsible for such young students sudden deaths?
In summary, I am of abalanced opinion, as examination system makes students very confident and shows their strengths and weaknesses. Nonetheless in addition to exams, other methods also should be adopted to assess someone’s quality

Q# Some people think that exams are a good way of assessing a student’s level. Other people believe that they put unnecessary pressure on young learners and tell us very little about their actual ability. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
Since long, exams have been a tool to evaluate pupils. It is Conducted an exam every year to weigh learners for the sake to promote to the next level. Not all of us consider that examination is a useful technique to weigh learners; others opposed. According to them, an examination process is unable to show actual capabilities of students and just gives stress. As far as my concerned, I fully agree with examination assessment.
To begin with, exams aid to gage a student what has he studied in a whole year as per syllabus? Normally, schools, colleges, and universities design academic models which cover all content which needs to be taught during a specific period and afterwards conduct an exam to know the understanding about the courses. For example, the USA, academic programs cover all the subjects, and faculties deliver their best knowledge to them. Indeed, pupils retain such information and retrieve in their final exam in the shape of a written exam. So, it is included in the best practices around the world to assess through written papers.
However, to evaluate based on the syllabus is not a logical decision. In real terms, many students have different skills and might perform beyond the set targets, but unfortunately, they are not capable enough to write their thoughts on the exam sheet. Therefore, a vast number of talented individuals failed in exams which push them back, and they go into the dark. For instance, Germany, where several methods exist to evaluate students such as, written, oral, group innovation ideas, project completion, and so on. Thus, a traditional type of process is boiling to students, which are alarming and should dim on it, otherwise, it will become serious trouble.
To sum up, conducting an annual exam is a worthwhile option to assess students; contrary, it is an irrelevant criterion to judge and also gives tension to growing minds. Annually taking exams is essential to evaluate students; despite this, exam methodology is insignificant. In the best of my opinion, the testing system has been stunning to pass a learner and send to the next class and should continue.
