the diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
The given diagrams illustrate the life cycle of salmon.
It is clear that the life cycle of salmon consists of three main stages that three types of it (in scale) appear and live for about 10 years.
At the first stage, adult salmon put their eggs under the small stones next to reeds in upper rivers. It takes about five to six month for fires to come out from eggs, with 3-8 centimetres length. Next, fires migrate to the fast-flowing river, which is called the lower river and live there for near 4 years. During this period, they become bigger to 12-15 centimetres in length and named 'smolt'. Then, smolts change their place to open sea and stay there for 5 years about. Finally, as an adult salmon by 70-76 centimetres length go to the slow-moving river to put their eggs on the bottom of the river and the cycle will repeat.
