One of the best ways that parents can help their teenage children prepare for adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job.
Pedagogically, preparing juveniles for adult life is a demanding duty, and parents ought to learn new ways to have a tremendous influence on the future of their teenagers. Moreover, so many approaches have been propounded to reach the best results in this regard. One of them is cheering teenage children to take a part-time career. To the best of my knowledge, a part-time profession can be the right way for adolescent children to make them ready for adult life. I feel this way for three reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.
Firstly, a part-time job improves teenagers’ independence. It is vital to understand that younkers naturally do their duties with the aid of their parents or siblings. Part-time jobs can help juveniles to stand on their own feet and be self-made gradually. My personal experience is a compelling example of this. When I was a teenager, I was a waiter in a restaurant in my leisure time due to my parents’ encouragement. After nine months of working, I have transformed into an independent person who can solve most of his problems confidently with relying on his abilities and capabilities. Also, because of this confidence and independence, I have never panicked in facing difficulties, which I owe it all to my part-time career.
Secondly, juveniles who work in their leisure get different and essential experiences, which can help them to make better decisions about their future careers. A teenager must apply for different part-time jobs, which can help the younker to discover his favorites, abilities, and priorities. For instance, four years ago, my sister had not any point of view about her future profession. My parents cheered her to apply for three or four part-time jobs, which have helped her to recognize her favorites and capabilities. Now, she is a successful structural engineer, and she always thanks her parents because of the fantastic guide.
Thirdly, if a teenager makes money through his efforts, he will know the value of the capital. Moreover, understanding the value of money will save him money to spend it when he needs it. However, children have a vulnerable personality; parents should not force their teenage children to work in their free time.
Finally, concerning the whole reasons given above, I opine that working in free time is an excellent way to make ready teenagers for their adult life. Confidence, experience, and knowing the value of the money are vital to have a good future.
