The bar chart compares the earnings from sales of various games for four different platforms, namely mobile phones, online, consoles and handheld devices in the period from 2000 to 2006.
It is clear from the chart that handheld games were the most popular type in term of income from 2000 to 2006 . The bar chart also showed that console games tended to decrease, while the sales of mobile phone games and online games grew quickly
In 2000, the total earnings for the handheld games were at nearly $12 billions , which was double than that for console games. Mobile games and online games did not appear until 2002, the sales figures for both types was just $3 billions. Handheld games sales grew up $ 4 billions from 2000 to 2002, while console games decreased $ 2 billions.
In 2006, handheld games continued tobe a major revenues and its earnings is about $18 billion in revenues. There is a decrease in the sales of console games, with a low of $5 billions at the same time. Meanwhile, earnings for mobile and online games grew up to $ 9 and $ 7 billions in respectively
