You work for an international company. You are celebrating for the special family event and would like to have time off for it. Write a letter to your manager.
In your letter, you should:
explain what celebration is.
tell how long you want to take time off
say how your work could be done while you are away.
Dear Cameroon,
I am writing to request for a 2 week off. As I have been constantly informing you about my sister's marriage this month end, I will be needing a leave from 15th to 31st December.
My sister being the youngest of all relatives both on mother's and father's side, the event holds a great significant value for each one of us in the family. I also had to mention the 7day long wedding that happens in our community. Immense responsibility is bestowed on me during this time.
James will be providing the code during my absence. I have already transferred the knowledge about the new project that I am dealing with Larsen and Turbo. James and I were able to install AWS and Unix on James PC and downloaded the secured encrypted data. I also provided the access to the shared location of documents to which he can refer to. I will available over email and phone except the day of wedding in case of any assistance or emergency.
Also, please accept this as my personal invitation for the marriage. I expect you to take time to bless my sister and spend some time with our family. Wedding is on 25th at Classic Gardens.
Your' sincerely,
John Gresham
