It is clear that Coal was the highest kind of energy that the French consumed. In addition, the figure for Petro was a significant decrease.
In 1995, the proportion of energy produced from Coal was highest, at 29.80%, while the figure for Gas and Petro were slightly slower, at 29.63% and 29.27% respectively. Nuclear stood at 6.40% of the total energy produced in France. At the same time, only 4.90% of the total energy was produced from other sources.
In 2005, the rate of energy produced from Coal was 30.93%, still remained the highest of total production, while the figure for Gas was still insignificant slower at 30.31%. The percentage of Petro was a significant fall on around 10% to 19.55%. By contrast, the figure for Nuclear and Other sources were slightly increased to 10.10% and 9.10% respectively.
