The table shows the production of cocoa beans in six regions from 1992 to 1998.
The table illustrates the number of cocoa beans produced in six regions between 1992 and 1998. It is clear that Africa and South America were the two highest producers of cocoa beans over the six-year period. Furthermore, in 1994, there were only two areas manufacturing cocoa beans.
Africa had the highest production of cocoa beans over the six-year survey. To be more detailed, the figure increased significantly from 1992 to 1996 and decreased slowly at 1,843,000 tons in 1998. South America was the second-highest manufacturer in this survey, which also experienced a fluctuation from 1992 to 1998.
In contrast, Oceania and North and Central America were the two least producers of cocoa beans and they were only the two regions which made cocoa bean throughout the survey. The former had approximately 40,000 tons throughout the study whereas the latter had higher production than the former by 10,000 tons. Besides that, Caribbean and Asia rose gradually from 1992 to 1998 although they did not produce in 1994.
In conclusion, there were many regions over the world producing cocoa beans from 1992 to 1998 and Africa was the highest producer over the survey.
