The diagrams below show the existing ground floor plan of a house and a proposed plan for some building work.
The first picture illustrates the current layout of a house, and the second shows some recommended changes to the home space.
It is clear that significant changes will be made in the use of the hall. In addition, there will be completely new entrances to the kitchen and more space for the living room.
At present, the house's main entrance door is open to the hall, slap bang in the middle of the house and separated from the living room and the kitchen by two internal walls, will be removed so that the living room would be spacious. However, according to the proposed layout, considerable parts of walls close to the main entrance will be demolished so that the enteral doors to the living room and kitchen, which are at the end of the hall, will be relocated to the near the main entrance.
The places of stairs and storage under stairs which are now located in the middle of the hall next to the living room will be relocated to the end of the hall. Another main change is related to the kitchen which will be equipped with furniture.
