In 2000, about 7 million dollars was paid by girls, compared to roughly 9 million dollars of boys. After four years, in 2004, students witnessed a double growth of the expenditure, precisely 20 million dollars and approximately 13 million dollars of males and females, respectively.
In the 2008-2012 period, the amount of money was spent on higher education continuously experienced a steady increase, in which the figure of males in 2008 increased from around 27 million dollars to over 30 million dollars in 2012, while that of females also had a rise from roughly 13 million dollars to exactly 20 million dollars at the same time.
