You have been doing some voluntary work to help your local community. However, now you are unable to continue doing this work.
Write a letter to the manager of the organisation where you have been working.
In your letter
describe the work you have been doing.
explain why you can no longer do this work.
recommend another person who is interested in the work.
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is John Doe and I am writing to inform you that I will no longer be able to be a part of the weekend “meals on wheels”.
I was actively engaged with the “meals on wheels” program for the last one year, where we traveled to a shelter home each week to provide hot meals to the needy. I supported the program in various capacities, including but not limited to working the grill and driving the truck around.
The reason I will no longer be able to volunteer for this project is because I am moving to a different state. Unfortunately, there is no branch of your organization at my new place of residence.
I would like to suggest the name of my good friend Lisa Marie for my replacement. Lisa shares the same passion for charity and volunteer work and should be available to start right away. I can personally vouch for her sincerity and professionalism.
Thank you providing me with this wonderful opportunity and I wish you all the best in this noble endeavor.
Yours faithfully,
John Doe
