The tables below give information about sales of fairtrade labelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.
The tabular charts indicate the information about the sales of fairtrade labelled coffee and bananas in European countries : the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden in the year 1999 and 2004.
Overall, the most striking fact emerged from the tables is that, the highest sale of coffee in Denmark (in 1999) and the UK (in 2004), while, the lowest in Sweden. Switzerland sold the maximum number of bananas in both years.
According to the tabular charts, in 1999, in UK, 1.5 millions of euros of coffee was sold, but, in 2004, it was more than ten fold (20 millions) and the selling of Bananas were only 1 million; 5.5 million in 1999 and 2004 Switzerland sold 3 millions of euros of coffee, which was doubled in the year 2004. In Belgium, 1 million euros coffee was sold, same figure of selling in Sweden in 2004, it was doubled in Denmark in 1999, 1.8 million in Denmark and 0.8 in Sweden.
In addition, in 1999, 50 millions of users of bananas 12 years old in Switzerland, it were inclined by three times more in 2004 (about 47 millions). 0.6 million and 4 million's bananas were sold in Belgium, but, in Denmark, it was half only 2 millions of euros in 1999, it were declined by 1.1 million (0.9million) in 2004. In Sweden, 1.8 million and 1 million euros of bananas were sold in 1999 and 2004.
