You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
* describe the situation
* explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
* say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to bring it to your attention, the kind of problems i am facing at the college accommodation. Please allow me to elaborate.
I have been staying with John for the past two months in Block A, room number 17. For the last few weeks, it has been very difficult for me to focus on studies and day-to-day activities due to various reasons such as long nights with lights switched on, which disturbs my sleep cycles and group activities during weekends with his friends in our room, which does not go well with my study time.
As John and myself are from different engineering streams, and his department having class hours starting lately than mine, he stays very late in the night for studying. As my classes starts much earlier, i prefer not to stay awake much longer. The different bed times, because of differing timings, is affecting both of us similarly. Also, he used to have group study with his classmates during weekends, which also disturbs my focus on studies.
This can be avoided, if you can provide me an accommodation with a student of my class at the earliest.
Looking forward for your positive reply.
Your's sincerely,
Anand.
