The graphs below give information about the performance of the trains in a train company in October and November in 2008
The line graphs illustrate the proportions of the trains that were late and cancelled in a particular train company in both October and November in the year 2008.
Overall, there were constant fluctuations in the percentages of late trains and cancelled ones. In addition, while there were more trains running late in November, cancelled trains generally occurred in October.
In the first week of October, there were 20% of trains behind the schedule, followed by a slight increase of 10% in the following week. Afterward, its figure experienced a remarkable decrease to 10% until the beginning of November. Then, the figure for late trains suddenly rose to reach its peak of approximately 55% before seeing a drop to fairly 35% in the third week of the month.
In comparison, only one tenth of the total train routes were cancelled at the beginning of October, which then steeply climbed to 70% in just seven days and fell back to where it started in the next week. Then, the percentage of trains that did not operate saw upward fluctuations until the third week of November, ending at 40%.
