The average prices per kilometre of clothing imported into the European Union from six different countries in 1993 and 2003 are shown in the bar chart below.
The supplied bar chart compares the average price of per kilometre clothing which was sent to European Union by Argentina, Brazil, Japan, China, India , and Bangladesh in 1993 and 2002. Units are measured in pounds.
A glance at the chart reveals that imports from Argentina were of highest price in both years as compared to Bangladesh which was the lowest in 1993 as well as 2003. Out of all six countries, the price for Argentina and Japan dropped in 2003.
Now turning to the details, in 1993, average cost for Argentina was around 28 pounds per kilometre clothing, which was the topmost, while that of Bangladesh was approximately 3 pounds/km being the bottommost. In terms of Brazil, it was plateaued for both years at about 23 pounds/km thus making it second most expensive in the list for both years.
As can be seen in the graph, China and India imported at a higher price in 2003 than in 1993. Similarly, in Bangladesh these prices were almost doubled in 2003. Conversely, for Argentina and Japan the prices dropped by same ratio to just above 25 and 13 pounds respectively.
