Life on Mars
In this set of material, the article strongly postulates that Mars could ber possible next planet to live as resources on earths are in dearth, and provide three characteristics to endorse its idea. However, the lecture mentions that reading arguments are dubious and unconvincing, and gainsays each of them
To begin with, the writer asserts that there is probability of liquid water presence on the Mars as suggested by scertain elements found by radar mission on the surface of the Mars. This was confirmed after observing the electromagnetic rays returned from the poles of Mars. On the other hand, the speaker posits this claim by insisting that liquid water can not be possible under the poles of mars. As the temperature of the mars was extremely cold about-7 degree unlike swarmer earth's surface . Therfore, in that freezing temperature water cannot exist in liquid form. Moreover mars is not geologically active, so maintainence of liquid state is not possible and elements could be different than water.
Furthermore, the lecturer contradicts by insisting that mars atmoshere is too harsh for humans to live. Though microbes can be grown in that extreme weather conditions, human body is weker and can not tolerate the harshness of weather. On top, the weather variability could either freeze the human body or burnt it because mars surface is 100 times denser than earth too. Thses claims clearly refutes the writer's implication that human living oin earthg can endure the mars environment and proved that by growth of micro organisms on mars surface.
Ultimately, the writer wraps up its arguments by declaring that methane gas was found on mars and that gas is of paramount importance for human survival on mars. Not surprisingly, the lecturer takes an issue with that by declaring that there was no methan sign on mars. Or if mathene is present it was in extremely limited amount that it could not be conseidered for survival. In addition, an upgraded instrument wurs had confirmed that presence of methane is not observed.
