The chart below shows the percentage of people of different age groups who went to cinema once a month or more in one European country from 2000 to 2011.
The line graph gives information about changes in the proportions of people going to cinema once a month or more, divided into four different age groups in one country in Europe during the period between 2000 and 2011.
Overall, there were general upward trends in the percentages of all age groups over the given period. It is also clear that the figure for those between 15 and 24 years old was higher compared to the others.
In the year 2000, around 15% of people at the age of 15 to 24 went to the cinema. Afterward, its figure experienced upward fluctuations, reaching 50% in 2007 before decreasing to about 35% in 2008. In the following three years, there was a remarkable increase to 52% at the end of the period.
In comparison, the percentage of those aged 7 to 14 started at 10% which was nearly twice as high as that of the 25 to 35 age group. Then, the figures for these two groups saw similar patterns, fluctuating constantly and reaching 30% in 2011. Over the same period, the proportion of people who were 35 and over went up gradually from roughly 2% to approximately 12% within 11 years.
