It is evident that throughout the whole period, proportion in countryside area was generally decreasing, while that in city region appeared a rising trend.
Going into more detail, at the beginning of the year, unemployment ratio among rural area had steadily decreased for six months, from 6.5% to 4.5%. That was the lowest record in the whole period. Then a mild fluctuation was recorded around 5% in the next half year.
In contrast, a mere 2.2% of Australians in urban area were unemployed at first. However, the figure fluctuated wildly until the third quarter of the year. It almost doubled to 4% and dropped to nearly 2% again. After September, it appeared a gradual elevation and reached the top at around 5% at the end of 2012.
In summary, despite the obvious difference between two rate at first, it was significantly reduced at the end of the period.
